KKR’s dashing batter Jason Roy suffered an injury while fielding in the 33rd match of IPL 2023 against CSK. Jason Roy was one of the biggest positives for KKR against DC when he scored 43 runs in 39 balls on a sluggish track.

In place of Jason Roy, the pinch hitter Sunil Narine came to open along with N Jagadeesan. During the 19th over, Jason Roy ran towards his left from long on and faced some sort of discomfort and immediately he walked off the field.

Here’s A Clip Of Jason Roy Getting Hurt:

Jason Roy’s serious injury would have been a major blow for KKR as they have already been struggling especially on the batting side of things in IPL 2023. However, thankfully, nothing was serious as the England star came to bat at No.5 and smashed some great boundaries.

Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) decision to bowl first didn’t go that well against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2023. CSK posted a mammoth score of 235-4.  CSK’s batters displayed an attacking brand of cricket against KKR from the word go. Devon Conway continued his purple patch by smashing yet another half-century as he scored 56 runs in 40 balls and struck 4 fours and 3 sixes.

Suyash Sharma was the pick of the bowlers who gave away 29 runs in his 4 overs and took 1 wicket. David Wiese along with Kulwant Khejroliya was taken to the cleaners as all the variations proved to be ineffective against CSK’s strong batting lineup.

Steep Road Ahead for KKR

KKR need to get off to a rollicking start and make sure that they score at least 60 runs in the power-play overs which would give them some sort of chance in the match. It would be interesting to see how N Jagadeesan fares in this massive run chase.

CSK on the other hand would back themselves to defend this target. The conditions are quite spin friendly and it won’t be a surprise if we witness 10-12 overs of spin after a brilliant performance by the trio Moeen Ali, Maheesh Theekshana & Ravindra Jadeja against RR.
