Karachi Kings are in trouble in releasing players:

Meanwhile, the rule of retaining players is hurting Karachi Kings. They have got Babar Azam, Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Colin Ingram in the platinum category. And also, Colin Munro as well.

But, with the teams being allowed to retain only three players from the list, including one foreign player, they asked Babar Azam to relegate him to Diamond category. However, Babar Azam felt degraded and hasn’t accepted to the plea made by the franchise.
