T10 League: Wasim Akram is Delighted with Inclusion of Zaheer Khan

Former Pakistan captain, Wasim Akram is pleased to have world-class talent like Zaheer Khan who will feature in the T10 league in this year. Meanwhile, the left-hand pacer will join with the players like RP Singh, Praveen Kumar, Subramaniam Badrinath and Reetinder Singh Sodhi in the second season of the star-studded tournament.

Zaheer set to play T10 League

However, the T10 League Season 2 will be played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium from 23rd November – 2nd December 2018. Furthermore, Zaheer Khan was seen playing in the St. Moritz Ice Cricket Tournament in Switzerland.

Meanwhile, the former India bowler played for Palace Diamond for the two-match tournament. Many former Indian cricketers such as Virender Sehwag, Ajit Agarkar, Joginder Sharma, and Romesh Pawar was a part of it as well.

However, India’s veteran fast bowler, Zaheer Khan has got lots of success in his cricketing career. One of his memorable moment was when India won the World Cup in 2011. He became the joint highest wicket-taker bagging with 21 wickets in the tournament.

“We are pleased to have with us some world-class talent like @ImZaheer and @t10leaguetweets will certainly be more entertaining with the addition of some great cricketers from India.” Former Pakistani legend Wasim Akram took it to Twitter to welcome Zaheer Khan.

Earlier, the chairman of the league, Sajhi Ul Mulk said in a statement,

“I am happy to announce that we have signed up eight Indian players to play in the second season of the tournament. This will encourage players from all over the world to join the T10 League movement and help popularise the 10-over format cricket worldwide in the coming years.”

In addition to that, eight teams will participate in the T10 league. Former Indian opener, Virender Sehwag was named as the T10 Cricket League brand icon. There were also others like Pakistan veteran, Shahid Afridi and New Zealand’s, Brendon McCullum.
