Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag said Team India captain Virat Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma made the run chase look very easy. Kohli and Rohit went on to put together a mammoth partnership of 246 runs. Thus, India cruised to a competitive target of 323 with eight wickets and 47 balls in hand. Consequently, India put together a dominating display of batting.

On the other hand, Virender Sehwag also congratulated Rohit Sharma to become the first batsman to score more 150 runs on six occasions. Rohit made 152 runs off just 117 balls and constructed his innings like he always does. Rohit scored his first fifty off 51 balls as he took a backseat when Virat Kohli was dominating the bowlers. Subsequently, Rohit was able to score the next two fifties off just 33 balls.

In fact, we have often seen that India’s deputy likes to build his knock in the same fashion. The flamboyant opener likes to score daddy hundreds and once he gets going in his topmost gear, it is hard to put a break on his ride.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli was the aggressor. Kohli scored his runs freely as he was able to hit the ground running. Indian captain looked at ease and scored his runs at a brisk pace. He was able to time the ball to perfection and found his gaps with great skills. Kohli scored his 36th ODI hundred whereas Rohit was able to get to his 20th century.

Earlier on, Windies had put a par total of 322 in their batting innings. Shimron Hetmyer was able to impress with his strokeplay as he scored his third ODI hundred. However, other batsmen could not join the party with Hetmyer.

Virender Sehwag took to Twitter to share his post. The post read as, “Double Dhamaka. Kohli and Rohit made it look very easy. Congratulations @ImRo45 on your 6th 150+ score, the first man to do so. Tremendous achievement. #IndvWI”.
