Unaware of Any Report Regarding Pitch Doctoring: BCCI Official Rajiv Shukla

Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) official, Rajiv Shukla, claimed that the governing body has not received any information regarding the pitch doctoring scandal which surfaced recently thorough a documentary by Al Jazeera.
The broadcasting giant revealed curator receiving bribes to alter the surface at Galle. The same venue hosted the Test match between Sri Lanka and Australia in 2016.
The then Steven Smith’s side was bundled out for 106 and 183. The visitors handed the Lankans a thumping 229-run victory, in a match which lasted less than three days.

Also, the subsequent Test match at Galle which hosted England is also believed to be tampered with, as far as the surface is concerned.
Further, it is learnt that the Galle Test match between India and Sri Lanka last year was also under the radar of the spot-fixers.
India went on to win the match by 304 runs, after posting a mammoth 600 runs in the first innings.
“We have not got any such information. Neither we had received any report nor anti-corruption unit has submitted any report. ICC will take cognizance of that,” commented IPL Chairman Rajiv Shukla, as reported by ANI.
Meanwhile, BCCI’s acting president, CK Khanna, dodged the questions, when asked about the recent developments from Sri Lanka.
Sri Lankan Cricket (SLC) is scheduled to issue a statement soon. The International Cricket Council (ICC) stated that a probe has been initiated already to look into the Test matches at Galle.
