Former Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner wished the ‘Orange Army’ good luck as the Kane Williamson-led side is gearing up to lock horns against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the final of Indian Premier League (IPL).

The two teams will fight it out for the title at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday (May 27).

Warner could not play the ongoing season due to the ban he received in the wake of the ball tampering scandal at Cape Town.

The Australian star was the batting mainstay of the side in the last four season. His runs in the last four editions are – 641, 848, 562, 528.

In two of those editions, the left-hander Warner clinched the Orange Cap while in 2016, he finished second only to Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli.

Not only that, his captaincy was equally impressive as he led the side to the title in 2016.

Last year (2017) too, Warner led the team to the playoffs.

But the ball-tampering scandal saw him miss the ongoing season.

However, despite missing all the on-field action, Warner has constantly supported his team while sitting miles away in Australia.

Ahead of the final too, he took to micro photo-blogging website Instagram to wish his side, writing:

“Good luck to our #orangearmy tonight. Come on @SunRisers ‬let’s raise the bar and go one more.”

David Warner’s wife, Candice also wished the side, tweeting:

Meanwhile, the Sunrisers will have their task cut out against the Super Kings.

The Williamson-led side has looked like the team to beat in the most part of the tournament.

However, they just could not find a way past Super Kings in as many as three occasions.

The Sunrisers are currently high on confidence after beating Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the second Qualifier and will be looking to get the better of the Super Kings on the fourth attempt.
