Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has been charged with a Level 1 code of conduct offence for using audible obscenity in the ongoing ETPL, a fresh T20 league in Europe, where the Aussie star breached the code while playing for the Belfast Wolves against the Dublin Guardians at Sportpark Westvliet on August 27, 2026.
As per the tournament's code of conduct for the players, Article 2.3 strictly prohibits all participating players from using foul words during a match. Glenn Maxwell has been accused of breaching the rule.

The all-rounder also acknowledged the charge and agreed to the proposed penalty. As the accused cricketer himself did not oppose the allegations, there will be no need for extra hearings. In the second innings, Dublin managed to score only 132 runs in 20 overs.
"There were pockets of good cricket we played, but it wasn’t the ideal start. I thought 175-185 was definitely chaseable if we’d had a better powerplay," R Ashwin said after the end of the game.

Maxwell credited his bowlers, especially Mark Adair, who claimed a brace at a 6.50 economy rate, for the 52-run win,
"We were really good with the ball and adapted well with the bat," Belfast skipper Glenn Maxwell stated after the match.
"Adair is outstanding; he was one of our initial signings. He was one of those guys we were very happy to get early, and it’s showing," he added.
