Virat Kohli is a part of the Indian team for the upcoming T20 World Cup. he was going through a rough time with the bat but made a comeback in the Asia Cup 2022. He scored 276 runs in five matches with two fifty-plus scores and a hundred against Afghanistan.

He notched up his 71st international hundred after 1020 days. His score of 122* is also the highest by any Indian batsman in T20 format. Kohli’s comeback was India’s biggest positive from the tournament. India lost to Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Super 4s to make an early exit from the tournament as they failed to defend the title.

Samson has been a heavy scorer in domestic cricket but has not taken too many chances. However, fans and cricket experts thought that this was the big break that he required in his career to make it big. Samson could have played in place of Kohli purely as a batter.

Shreyas Iyer

Iyer has been a consistent run-scorer for India in T20I cricket. He scored in the T20I series against Sri Lanka and West Indies heading into the Aia Cup. However, he did not play any game in the Asia Cup and has been a part of the reserves since Kohli’s comeback. Iyer could have also replaced Kohli purely as a batter had his dry run with the bat continued.

Rahul Tripathi

Tripathi could have been a dynamic addition to Indi’s T20 World Cup squad. He can bat anywhere from opening the batting all the way to number six. He has batted almost in every position from one to six in the IPL. He could have been used as a floater which is much to the benefit of the Indian cricket team. Given his rich potential, he is not very far from making his international debut.
