The countdown for ICC T20 World Cup 2022 has begun and all the teams part of the premier ICC tournament are gearing up for a powerful show. ICC T20 World Cup 2022 begins on October 16. The venue of the tournament is Australia, which is also the host of the tournament.
Australia is also the defending champions. Last year in T20 World Cup, Australia won the trophy after defeating New Zealand in the final. A total of 16 teams are part of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. 8 teams will play the qualifier round from October 16. Sri Lanka will face Namibia in the opening game.

The super 12 round begins on October 22, with New Zealand and Australia taking on each other in the opening encounter. The ICC T20 World Cup 2022 final will take place on November 13. A total of 45 matches will take place during the tournament.
India will face their opening game on October 23 against Pakistan. Last year, India was eliminated from the tournament after the first round itself. This, the team will aim for a better show under the new skipper Rohit Sharma.
