India and Pakistan go head to head at the MCG in their first Super 12 game on October 23 in the T20 World Cup. The Super 12 round began on October 22 between Australia and New Zealand- the finalists of last year’s T20 World Cup. The ICC T20 World Cup 2022 final will be played on November 13.

Pakistan has had the wood over India in the last three meetings in the T20 format. They edge India 2-1 in the last three meetings two of which was in the Asia Cup 2022. India won the group game but then Pakistan beat them in the Super 6 stage to eliminate them from the tournament. 

There is a huge build-up for this game with the tickets being sold out minutes after they went on sale. Former cricketers from both teams have already started making their predictions on who will win this particular game.

India played a warm-up game against Australia which they won by six runs. Pakistan’s warm-up game against Afghanistan was washed out due to rain. Rohit Sharma said that India will be ready before their game against Pakistan. 

“We wanted to come here early and acclamatise to the situation. By the time we play Pakistan, we will be prepared. We don’t believe in last minute information, I don’t want to believe in telling someone at the last minute that ‘you are playing,” Rohit said.
