GT vs RR: Watch - Mohammad Shami Cleans Up Riyan Parag With A Searing Yorker

Gujarat Titans playing in their first season in IPL 2022 has been a force to reckon with. They were brilliant in the league stages of the tournament as they finished at the top of the table.

They also did well to win qualifier 1 and book a place in the finals in their first-ever season. The Hardik Pandya led side surpassed all expectations as they mostly always found ways to win games.

Rajasthan Royals Scores Just 130 In The First Innings In The Finals

In the final on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, GT bowlers were at their absolute best. They were brilliantly led by their skipper Hardik Pandya who got 3 important wickets in the middle overs. He got rid of Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler and Shimron Hetmyer, 3 of the best batters of RR. The Royals never recovered from these losses as they scampered their way through 130.

Riyan Parag tried his best in the end to add some crucial runs but he couldn’t do much as he was running out of partners from another end, Trent Boult and Obed McCoy did hit a couple of sixes in the slog overs but that wasn’t enough in the end, as Parag yet had to go at a high pace in the past couple of overs to reach the 140 mark.

Eventually, in the last over, he did hit a boundary against Mohammad Shami but Shami got the better of him on the last ball of the innings as he bowled a 145 KMPH Yorker to dismiss Parag.

In the end, RR ended up with just 130 on the board. RR would hope that their bowlers can bring them back into the game as they would like to take this chance count. On the other hand, GT would look to start their IPL journey with a victory just like RR did in 2008.
