Indian Premier League(IPL) is a Land of Opportunities for young Indian talent as well as players from other countries. The performance in the Indian Premier league can determine the future of his cricket especially if the player is towards the fag end of his career and wanna make a comeback to the national side. The competitive cricket that is been played and the standards that the players set for themselves are far too high.

There are a few instances where players fail to perform and end their careers. One bad season in the league and a failure in one crucial game means the end to their cricketing career in the league and here we bring you three such players from the squad of five-time champions Mumbai Indians who could probably be playing their last IPL season.

IPL 2022: DC vs MI: 3 MI Players For Whom This Could Be The Last Tournament

Jaydev Unadakt

One of the most experienced and talented left-hand fast bowlers in Indian domestic cricket and IPL. Unadkat made his IPL debut in the year 2010. His run in IPL has been about ups and down’s all the time. Unadkat was bought by Mumbai Indians in the auction for INR 1.30 CR and he is 30 years old.

He still has a lot of cricket left in him but in the IPL  in the last three years, his performance has been bizarre and below-par wherein he picked up 18 wickets in the 24 matches he played and the economy was on the higher side. Unadkat is nearing 100 IPL wickets and he needs another 15 wickets to reach the milestone. If he fails to perform this year then probably this could be the last time that we see the 30-year-old playing IPL as there is a lot of competition.

Tymal Mills

Mills has been one of the best death bowlers in the shortest format with his slower balls and variations. His story has been completely different in the Indian premier league as he struggled to pick up wickets and has been expensive. Mills like most other England players have struggled on the Indian pitches. Mills made his debut in 2017 and since then has played only 5 IPL matches.

The chances of Mills making it to the playing 11 always depends on the four players’ foreign combination that the team wants and this may affect Mill’s chances. Mills has picked 5 wickets in his entire IPL career. If Mills fails to perform in this year’s IPL this could probably be the last time that we see Mills in the league.

Kieron Pollard

The big man has been the show stealer in important matches and when it comes to playoff matches Pollard is one of the best players in the league. Off late he has been out of form and with him being 34 years old and he is out of shape and fitness is a major factor in T20 cricket. Pollard hasn’t had a great time over the past year and if he fails to perform then teams might be looking for other alternatives.

Pollard in his career has played 178 matches and has scored 3268 runs and 65 wickets to his tally. With time changes perspective of the team and their strategies. The IPL 2022 season is like a do-or-die season for Pollard in terms of his IPL career and as well as his journey in an international career.
