Lucknow Super Giants will play their first match of IPL 2022 against Gujarat Titans. The match will take place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 28. Lucknow Super Giants will be led by KL Rahul in the tournament.

Lucknow is one of the two new teams in IPL 2022. Ahead of the tournament, Lucknow Super Giants picked three draft players in their squad. KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis, and Ravi Bishnoi were the three players that the team picked. KL Rahul was their top pick at Rs. 17 crores.

During the auction, Lucknow bought 18 players in their squad. Their most expensive player was Avesh Khan. The team bought him for Rs. 10 crores during the auction. Some other key players that Lucknow bought during the auction were Quinton De Kock, Manish Pandey, Jason Holder, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Mark Wood, and Evin Lewis.
