RR vs LSG Dream11 Prediction

Gujarat Titans – who are the only team to remain unbeaten in the ongoing IPL 2022 – will take on SunRisers Hyderabad next Monday (April 11). The Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans defeated Punjab Kings in a nail-biting encounter as their all-rounder Rahul Tewatia scored the winning runs for their side by hitting back-to-back sixes on the final two deliveries of the 20th over.

Gujarat Titans might have finished the game in the dying moments of the game against Punjab but they were pretty clinical in their performance. Their youngster Indian opener Shubman Gill has scored two half-centuries (84 and 96) in the last two consecutive games. The talented right-handed batsman from Punjab showed is showing his class and giving his team a good start.

The bowling department comprising of veteran pacers Mohammed Shami and Lockie Ferguson and world-class spinner Rashid Khan has been Gujarat Titans’ biggest strength in the ongoing tournament.

Kane Williamson-led SunRisers Hyderabad had opened their campaign with two consecutive defeats against Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants. But, the Orange Army got their act together in their third match of IPL 2022 and handed a fourth defeat in a row to the defending IPL 2021 champions Chennai Super Kings.

After the bowlers led by T Natarajan(2/30) and Washington Sundar(2/21) restricted CSK to 154/7, Kane Williamson (32), Rahul Tripathi (39*), and fifty-up Abhishek Sharma (75) guided SunRisers Hyderabad to an 8-wicket win.

Sean Abbott has completed his quarantine and is available for selection. Umran Malik’s pace has been exceptional but has been quite expensive in all three games so far. He doesn’t believe in mixing pace and batters find it really easy to anticipate his pace and hit him with no trouble. He might lose his place in the eleven at the expense of someone like Kartik Tyagi. No other changes in the eleven are expected.

He scored only 9 runs off 19 balls and 13 off 11 balls against Lucknow.  He scored 75 off 50 balls against CSK in a match-winning effort while opening and would certainly retain his place as an opening batter.

In 6 matches, he scored 146 runs at an average of 29.20. He top-scored with 57 off 41 balls for SRH against Rajasthan batting at No. 5 but should be preferred to open for SRH after top-orders batting failure.

He scored 12 off 14 in SRH’s 2nd consecutive defeat in IPL 2022, this time to Lucknow. He picked 1 wicket conceding 8 runs in a solitary over against CSK. He may open against Gujarat.

He managed only 2 runs off 7 balls against Rajasthan though and scored 16 off as many balls against Lucknow while opening the innings with Abhishek Sharma. Shreyas Gopal claimed an IPL hat-trick in IPL 2019 against Royal Challengers Bangalore, which included the wickets of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Marcus Stoinis. He is yet to play a game for SunRisers Hyderabad but will be a good option to consider as he can bat a bit as well.

Shreyas Gopal played 14 games for the Rajasthan Royals in 2019 and picked as many as 20 wickets, including a hat-trick against Royal Challengers Bangalore. He scalped 10 wickets in the IPL 2020 which was played in the UAE. He had a pretty silent 2021 IPL playing just 3 games where he went wicketless. He will be keen to partner with Washington Sundar in the Sunrisers’ bowling line-up and add more variety to the attack.

Washington Sundar might be the spinner and all-rounder that Sunrisers Hyderabad might pick in the playing XI. The team bought him for Rs. 8.75 crores during the auction. Last year, Washington Sundar was part of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Due to an injury, the left-handed batsman remained out of the team in the UAE leg. In the first leg, he slammed 31 runs in 6 games and picked 3 wickets. He scored 40 off only 14 balls against Rajasthan and should be promoted higher up against Lucknow. He had an off day with the ball (0/47 in 3 overs) against RR but scored 18 and had figures of 2/28 against Luckow in another losing cause. He did well against CSK having figures of 2/21 picking prized scalps of opener Robin Uthappa and Ambati Rayudu.

Umran Malik

Umran Malik was still waiting to debut even as IPL 2021 went into its final week of the league stage. He got a go in the last three games Sunrisers Hyderabad played; while two months later, he had the distinction of being the player to have featured in the fewest IPL matches before being retained.

Umran Malik had the best bowling figures of 2/39 against Rajasthan in the opening game dismissing Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal. He was expensive against Lucknow, leaking 39 runs in 3 overs. He was the most expensive among the SunRisers Hyderabad bowlers against CSK and was wicketless too.

He may be replaced by Kartik Tyagi in the game against Gujarat.
