In India vs NZ 1st ODI, India won the toss and opted to bat first. While other batsmen kept on losing wickets, opener Shubman Gill held his wicket on one side and shattered a double century. Gill’s 208 took India to a massive total of 349-8 in 50 overs.

During the chase, Kiwi’s top and middle-order failed to score big knocks. At one stage, New Zealand railed at 131-6 in 29 overs. Later, Michael Bracewell (140) smacked a century while Mitchell Santner (57) hit a fifty to keep the winning hopes alive. However, New Zealand could only reach 337 before getting all out, losing the match by 12 runs.
