In a controversial sting operation that could potentially alter the future of Indian cricket, several troubling allegations have surfaced.

Among them is the assertion that players are using “phony injections,” which the board and selectors are cognizant of but are unsure who exactly is using them, given that it is difficult to monitor everyone’s actions.

As per Chetan Sharma’s statements in the sting operation, he claimed that almost 80-85% of players are not fit at the time of selection and appeal to the selectors to keep them in the race.

Additionally, he alleged that some top players receive clearance from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) despite not being entirely fit, leaving it up to the selectors to make the final decision on their selection. According to Chetan, these players who use injections to feign fitness have personal doctors outside of cricket who can provide them with the required shots, allowing them to appear fully fit before significant tournaments.
