Fans on Twitter reacted after Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) continued their dominance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. They thumped Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 98 runs at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday (5th May).

Kolkata Knight Riders were off to a brutal start with the bat in Lucknow. Phil Salt (32) and Sunil Narine (81) wreaked havoc across the hosts bowlers. They came out all guns blazing and put the opposition under immense pressure with their 61-run opening stand. 

After that, Angkrish Raghuvanshi (32) supported Narine well as they added 79 runs partnership for the second wicket. Their partnership set the tone for the Kolkata Knight Riders to post a big total at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. 

Rinku Singh (16), Shreyas Iyer (23), and Ramandeep Singh (25) played vital hand as the visitors posted a gigantic total of 235 runs on the board. For Lucknow Super Giants, Naveen-ul-Haq picked three wickets. 

In the chase, Lucknow Super Giants lost Arshin Kulkarni (6) early and after that skipper, KL Rahul (25) and Marcus Stoinis (36) brought them back into the game and put Kolkata Knight Riders bowlers under pressure. 

The Rahul-Stoinis duo added 50 runs and it seemed that they were up for the fight. But after that, Kolkata Knight bowlers were all over the batters and kept chipping in with wickets at regular intervals, taking command of the game. 

Kolkata Knight Riders bundled out the opposition for 137 to win the game by 98 runs to go at the top of the table with 16 points to their name. Varun Chakravarthy and Harshit Rana picked three wickets each and Andre Russell bagged two scalps.
