The PSL 2024 Qualifier will be played on March 14 between the Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi in Karachi. The match starts at 9.30 am IST. Peshawar has won both the league games against Multan earlier this season. 

30 league games in PSL 2024 are now complete. Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi finished as the top two teams. Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators finished as the third and the fourth teams on the table. Peshawar Zalmi 

Babar is leading the Peshawar Zalmi side. He joined the side last year and took them to playoffs. He is now striving to take the side into the finals. He had a brilliant season with the bat with 498 runs in nine games. He will be eyeing to score 500-plus and make this season a memorable one in a bid to retain captaincy with the Pakistan national cricket team not winning too many matches in recent times. 

Multan Sultans 

Multan led by Mohammad Rizwan banks heavily on him to give good starts. Usama Mir and David Willey have been the chief wicket-takers for the Sultans in this edition of the tournament. Mohammad Ali too has taken 17 wickets and came out as a surprise package. It is this same group of players that Multan will bank on the Qualifier.

Pitch Conditions 

 The Karachi pitch has been a batting-friendly one so far with enough on it for the bowlers. Multa won their previous game after posting above 180 and Peshawar defended 147 on this track as well. The pitch stays lively throughout the contest and a high-scoring match should be on the cards. 

Form and fitness

There are no injury concerns from either camp. Players are fit and raring to go in this crucial game. For-wise, all eyes will be on Babar and Rizwan who are the top two run-getters. Babar is two shy of scoring 500 runs in the tournament while Rizwan himself is in great striking form. 

Tactical Acumen

Both the players are great mates and open together for Pakistan in international T20I cricket. Having played a lot against each other both players are well aware of each other. They should be able to understand each other tactically as well in terms of the opposition captain.
