The 25-year-old England National Cricket Team batting all-rounder Will Jacks, who plays for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL,) smashed a stupendous century in the match against the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, April 28.

During the run-chase of 201, Will Jacks came out to bat after the dismissal of his skipper Faf du Plessis in the 4th over of the innings. He looked good out in the middle from ball one and perfectly paced his innings to reach the half-century milestone in 31 balls.

It seemed like Will Jacks wasn't happy with his fifty as it took him 31 balls to achieve it and then he decided to go absolutely berserk against the GT bowlers. First, it was Mohit Sharma who was at the receiving end of a Will Jacks assault, and then the England batter also hammered down the star leg-spinner Rashid Khan. Team RCB registered 29 runs each in the 15th and 16th over of the match bowled by Mohit Sharma and Rashid Khan with Will Jacks scoring most of the runs.

Will Jacks was batting on 17 off his first 17 balls and then he accelerated to score 83 from the next 24 deliveries and completed his stunning ton in 41 balls. Notably, at 6:41 PM, he reached his fifty and in just 6 more minutes - at 6:47 - he completed his hundred.

Seeing the carnage of Will Jacks, the former RCB skipper Kohli was left awestruck. Kohli was in disbelief seeing Jacks' destructive batting and he gave some epic reactions seeing his performance. Virat Kohli also celebrated Will Jacks' milestones like his own.

Faf and Virat got us off to a very good start - Will Jacks

After winning the Player of the Match award for his century, Will Jacks said that he struggled early on but Virat Kohli charged him up with his intensity. Will Jacks said:

"Amazing feeling right now. Faf and Virat got us off to a very good start. I struggled early on, but Virat kept his intensity up and gave me the chance to find my rhythm. Once we had the time-out, we said, "Let's get two really good overs here and we win the game." Once that happened, I just kept going and amazing feeling right now."

Will Jacks further talked about batting with Virat Kohli and said that he enjoyed it. He also said that batting with Kohli will help him a lot to improve his game. Will Jacks elaborated:

"(Batting with Kohli) It's amazing, he's a legend of the game and is someone everyone looks up to. To spend some time in the middle is a great feeling a huge learning curve. When I go away from the IPL, I'll learn so much from batting with him and playing with him. I'll try to take it all on board. I need to be a bit more adaptable at the beginning of my innings and get myself in a little bit quicker. I was lucky today because 17 off 17 is not going to win you many games. The other guys around me saved me earlier today."
