Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter MS Dhoni yet again gave joy to his fans in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The keeper-batter was at his best with the bat again in the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad underway at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

MS Dhoni yet again got an opportunity to play in the last over of the game. The keeper-batter, who has played brutal cameos with the bat in the ongoing IPL 2024, made sure that he made an impact with the bat for his team and took them to the big total.

Chennai Super Kings keeper-batter MS Dhoni, who came out to bat at No 5, started the innings on high as he hit a first-ball four. This made the entire crowd at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai go berserk as all that was going on at the stadium was "Dhoni Dhoni" chants.

During the 3rd ball of the last over, T Natarajan bowled a low full-toss on the stumps. MS Dhoni flicked it in the air and the ball went towards the deep square leg. Abhishek Sharma, who was stationed there, put in the dive to catch the ball but it bounced just in front of him and went for the four.

Not only the crowd, MS Dhoni's wife Sakshi was also in awe of the first-ball four by his husband. She erupted in joy and the video of the incident went viral on the internet within minutes. Here's the clip:

MS Dhoni played two balls and got 5 runs. His mini contribution in the end powered Chennai Super Kings to a total of 212 runs on the board. Earlier, it was skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, who set the tone for his team and yet again stood tall for his team when they needed him the most.

Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 98 runs off 54 balls and put the opposition under pressure. Apart from him, Daryl Mitchell (52) played a vital hand as well before Shivam Dube (39*) did what he does best. Their brutal effort helped the Chennai Super Kings go past 210 runs on the board.

We'll throw ourselves around (on the field) and try to get the job done - Daryl Mitchell on his innings

After the first innings, Daryl Mitchell talked about his team's total. He claimed that they have posted a good score on the board and they will be backing themselves to get the job done at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Daryl Mitchell also stated that they need to give their everything on the field and also credited skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad for his terrific innings with the bat. Speaking to broadcasters, he explained:

"We'll take that score. There's a little bit of dew around and we'll have to bowl well. Back ourselves to get the job done. It was about trying to keep putting pressure. Knew the pitch would be slightly slow. It's a new wicket. We'll throw ourselves around (on the field) and try to get the job done. He's a beautiful player to watch (Gaikwad)," he concluded.
