The left-arm seamer Yash Dayal was picked for the ODI series against Bangladesh earlier this month, however, due to a lower back injury, he was replaced by Kuldeep Sen.

The Uttar Pradesh-born bowler played nine games during the IPL 2022 season and took 11 wickets. Yash Dayal got grabbed the important wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal in the decisive match against Rajasthan Royals, allowing just 18 runs after three overs. His side Gujarat Titans ultimately prevailed in the top match by seven wickets to claim the inaugural IPL championship.

He claimed 14 wickets during the 2021–22 Vijay Hazare Trophy season with a meager economy rate of 3.77. He got his first-class debut in the 2018–19 season, and during that time, Yash Dayal had taken 30 wickets in the Ranji Trophy at an average of 24.70.

India’s U-19 World Cup-winning captain Yash Dhull bagged his first IPL contract with the Delhi Capitals who bought him for INR 50 lakh in the ongoing IPL 2022 mega auction. Yash Dhull made a mark in the 2022 U-19 World Cup, showing his tremendous potential with the bat.

He scored a match-winning hundred in the semifinal of the tournament and also led the way from the front.  Opening the innings for Delhi in their Ranji Trophy match against Tamil Nadu, the 19-year-old Yash Dhull scored centuries in both innings.

Upon reaching the three-figure mark in the second innings, Yash Dhull became one of the only three Indian cricketers to have scored twin centuries on their Ranji Trophy debut. In just 10 First Class games, he has amassed 939 runs including a 200* averaging an impressive 67.07 with 4 tons and 2 fifties. He also averages 72.6 in T20s and 38.2 in List A. Rahul Tewatia may debut in ODIs for the Indian team in 2023. An all-rounder, and hard-hitting finisher, Rahul Tewatia was picked up by the Gujarat Titans for INR 9 crore at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. He scored 217 runs averaging 31 at a strike rate of 147.62 in 16 IPL 2022 games but failed to pick a wicket.

Earlier, Rahul Tewatia was traded to Rajasthan Royals from Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL 2020. Rahul Tewatia made his IPL debut with RR in 2014 and set the stage on fire for RR in IPL 2020. The left-handed batsman scored 255 runs which included a memorable 31-ball 53-run blitz where he hit 5 sixes in an over and scalped 10 wickets in IPL 2020.

Rahul Tewatia failed to make his debut for the Indian team in March against England. Although, he was included in the five-match T20I series against England, unfortunately, he failed to clear the fitness test twice. His career can be revamped by a new selection committee.

Rahul Tripathi’s wait for a call-up in the national side finally came to an end with BCCI declaring the 17-member squad for the T20Is against Ireland.

There were high hopes for Rahul Tripathi on the tours of Zimbabwe and Bangladesh but he didn’t get to feature in a single ODI of the 3-match series. He may finally debut for India in T20Is in 2023 in the Sri Lanka series where batters KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, and Shreyas Iyer are absent. He may also debut in ODIs in 2023.

Batting at a strike rate of 158.33, the right-handed Indian batter Rahul Tripathi accumulated 413 runs from 14 matches in IPL 2022 for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He had scored 397 in 17 matches in IPL 2021 and was a key player for his former franchise Kolkata Knight Riders.

Rajat Patidar received his maiden ODI call-up to the Indian squad for the three-match ODI series against South Africa.  From being Madhya Pradesh’s leading run-scorer with 713 runs in eight matches in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy to the lows of IPL 2021, where he could score only 71 runs in four matches for RCB, Rajat Patidar has seen it all.

Rajat Patidar was expected to get married on May 9 after he went unsold in IPL 2022 mega auction following his poor return in the previous season. However, after Luvnith Sisodia was ruled with an injury, Rajat Patidar was named as a replacement by RCB.

As fate had it, he went on to amass 333 runs in seven innings, scoring at 55.50 with a splendid strike rate of 152.75. The 28-year-old slammed an unbeaten 112 off just 54 balls at a strike rate of over 207 for Bangalore against Lucknow in IPL 2022. His breathtaking knock was studded with 12 fours and 7 sixes. He may debut in ODIs in 2023.
