CSK, however, went on to thrash PBKS by 28 runs to get back to winning ways and entered the top four in the IPL 2024 points table. They are currently at the third spot with six wins and five losses.

Asked to bat first, CSK finished their innings on 167 for 9. Ravindra Jadeja top-scored with the bat for CSK, scoring 43 while Ruturaj Gaikwad (32) and Daryl Mitchell (30) played crucial knocks as well. For PBKS, Rahul Chahar and Harshal picked up three wickets each.
