In a series where most of the India as well as Windies batsmen have struggled, Virat Kohli has looked class apart. In the first three games of the series so far, he has scored 140, 152 not out and 107. Not surprisingly, he is not only the highest-run scorer in the series but has also achieved several milestones.

With his first century of the series, he reached the landmark of 60 international hundreds (36 in ODIs and 24 in Tests) and became the fastest to do so. He reached the landmark in 386 innings, taking 40 innings fewer than Sachin Tendulkar. It was also his eighth century while chasing 300-plus totals in ODIs which is the most by any player.

During the knock, Kohli also breached the 2,000-run mark in international cricket this year. He thus became the 4th player to score 2000+ International runs in four consecutive years. He also became the 4th player with 2000+ International runs in five or more different calendar years.

The Indian skipper was also the first to complete 2000 International runs in the ongoing year.

With his second ton, he became the fastest to reach 10,000 runs. Kohli reached the milestone in his 205th innings, thus bettering Sachin Tendulkar who achieved the feat in his 259th innings.

With his third century in as many games in the series, Kohli became the first Indian to score three consecutive centuries in ODI cricket. Overall, he is the 10th player to score a hat-trick of ODI hundreds.  The India skipper also became the first captain to score three consecutive ODI centuries.

And the 29-year old is now on the cusp of equalling another great milestone.  Kohli can equal legendary Kumar Sangakkara’s record of scoring four consecutive centuries in ODIs. The Sri Lankan batting legend was in tremendous form during the 2015 ICC World Cup and smashed hundreds in four consecutive games.

Between February 26 and March 11, Sangakkara recorded scores of 105 not out (vs Bangladesh), 117 not out (vs England), 104 (vs Australia) and 124 (vs Scotland) in the pool matches.

Well, with form on his side like always, Kohli will be backing himself to add one more feather to his cap.
