RCB vs GT: Watch - Faf du Plessis takes a dig at the broadcasters over their stance on coin toss controversy

Toss has been garnering attention for all the wrong reasons in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) and it could become the talk of the town once again after Faf du Plessis' latest act with the coin.

It all began when match referee Javagal Srinath picked the coin from the ground without showing it to Faf du Plessis and Hardik Pandya during the game between Mumbai Indians and RCB last month. Pandya threw the coin behind his back before Srinath picked the coin. The former India pacer did not let the captains see the result of the toss and just announced the winner.

Later, Faf du Plessis was seen explaining the incident to Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins as IPL landed in a big controversy. Srinath was accused of favoring Mumbai Indians for his act. And to avoid such controversies, the broadcasters have started zooming in on the coin as soon as it lands on the ground.

Faf du Plessis takes a dig at the broadcasters:

On Saturday, Faf du Plessis came up with a savage act to take a dig at the broadcaster's measure to have more clarity on the toss. The former South Africa captain came up with his latest act during the toss for the game against Gujarat Titans at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Bengaluru.

As the coin landed on the field, the cameraman looked to zoom in. However, Faf du Plessis quickly picked up the coin and revealed the outcome in front of the camera before walking away.

Meanwhile, RCB won the toss and opted to bowl first. Having won their last two games, RCB will be eyeing another win to keep their playoffs hopes alive. In their last game, they thrashed GT by nine wickets and would be eyeing another victory.
