Team India Unhappy With Anushka Sharma's Presence, Virat Kohli Declines To Comment On The Issue

Anushka Sharma and Ayesha Mukherjee reportedly had a fight in England  when Team India was taking on the hosts in a full-fledged series.

Looks like not all is well within Team India. Time and again, the team-management as well as the players have reiterated how close the players are which has played a big role in the team’s impressive performance in recent years. But if reports are something to be believed, then it looks like the close friendship has developed a fine crack.

The series of events began when Rohit Sharma surprisingly unfollowed Virat Kohli on Twitter and Instagram. 

Prior to that, Rohit had liked a tweet questioning BCCI’s double standards. The BCCI had posted a picture of the Indian team visiting the High Commission in London. However, the presence of Anushka Sharma in the group photo had not gone down well with the fans.

Rohit had then caused a storm by liking a tweet where a user took a dig at the BCCI. “@ImRo45 void is filled up by @AnushkaSharma I believe WAG’s are not allowed till 3rd test. Different rules for different players!”

Rohit also liked a tweet which says why he deserves to be Indian Test team.

“Rohit Sharma averages 58.19, batting at no 6 in tests. That is more than any batsman playing currently in the world,” the tweet read.

And now the fans are raising questions over Shikhar Dhawan’s omission from the Test side for the ongoing series against West Indies. Dhawan faced the omission after scooping the Man of the Series award in the Asia Cup for scoring the most number of runs.  He slammed two centuries to score 342 runs as India lifted the series. However, he could not find a spot in the Test side.

And now Hindi news outlet Dainik Jagran  has reported one of the reasons could be a rift between Anushka Sharma, wife of Kohli and Ayesha Mukherjee, wife of Dhawan, during the tour of England.  As per the news, the rift happened after Anushka gave Ayesha some tips on her family.

The report also claimed that the players too feel uncomfortable when Anushka is around. Not only that, the Bollywood actress sometimes also attends the team meetings. It should be mentioned that Anushka had faced the heat after accompanying the team to the Indian High Commission in London during the England tour.

Anushka was the only star wife who is still accompanying her partner on the tour. What made matters worse that Anushka was standing in the front row in front of the players.

For the time being, a team official has denied the accusations of Anushka being present in the meetings but did not comment on the rift.
