Swashbuckling India opener Rohit Sharma has raised speculations after he liked a tweet by a Twitter user who pointed out how the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had different rules for different players’ WAGs.

Meanwhile, BCCI was at the receiving end after they posted a picture of Indian team along with Anushka Sharma at the High Commissioner’s residence in London.

BCCI took to Twitter to post the picture of Team India ahead of the second Test at Lord’s.

#TeamIndia members at the High Commission of India in London,” the caption of photograph maintained.

BCCI received a fair share of backlash following their dual standards. They recently issued a notice stating that WAGs of cricketer cannot be with the team until the third Test at Tent Bridge in Nottingham.

However, the image of Bollywood actress Anushka with the India team raised eyebrows. A Twitter user questioned BCCI’s policy saying that Anushka in place of Rohit.

@ImRo45 void is filled up by @AnushkaSharma I believe WAG’s are not allowed till 3rd test. Different rules for different players!.” he wrote.

And interesting, Rohit Sharma himself liked the tweet questioning BCCI’s different player different policy over WAGs.

Meanwhile, Rohit missed out on the Test series squad despite having good scores behind his name in recent games.

India desperate to level terms at Lord’s:

After a close defeat in the first Test at Edgbaston, India will be desperate to level terms at Lord’s. While England doesn’t have a good record at Lord’s of late, India won their last Test here in 2014.

However, they will have to put in a much-improved effort than Birmingham. The likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Murali Vijay, KL Rahul and Ajinkya Rahane – the core of India’s batting, all of whom made low scores in Edgbaston – will have to hit form sooner rather than later.

The second Test between India and England starts from August 9 (Thursday) at Lord’s Cricket Ground.
