All the top countries will lock horns with each other during the tournament.

T20 World Cup 2022 will kickstart on October 16 and will conclude with the final on November 13. The qualifier round will be played first, during which 4 teams will qualify for the super 12 round. 8 teams have already qualified for the super 12 round. They are India, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Australia, England, and New Zealand.

Australia is the venue and host of the tournament. They are also the defending champions of the tournament. Last year, Australia won the title of T20 WC 2021 after defeating New Zealand in the final. Australia won their first-ever title in the tournament.

A total of 45 games will be played during the tournament including the qualifier and super 12 round. In the opening games of the qualifier round of T20 World Cup 2022 on October 16, Sri Lanka and Namibia will lock horns with each other while UAE and Netherlands will face each other in the other match.

In the super 12 round, Australia will face New Zealand in the opening game on October 22. In the second clash of the day, England and Afghanistan will face each other. India will play their first match against Pakistan on October 23.

There are a total of 16 teams that are part of the T20 World Cup 2022. Out of these, there are 8 teams that have already qualified for the super 12 round. The other 8 teams will square off in the qualifier round.

Namibia, Netherlands, Sri Lanka, UAE, Ireland, Scotland, West Indies, and Zimbabwe are part of the qualifier round. These teams are divided into 2 groups. Two top teams from each group will qualify for the super 12 round.

8 teams are already part of the super 12 round namely Afghanistan, Australia, England, New Zealand, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and South Africa. 4 more teams will join these teams later. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022.
