ICC T20 World Cup 2022: South Africa's Rilee Rossouw Believes That The Team Is Confident Ahead Of The Super-12 Opener

Rilee Rossouw, a South African batter, stated that her team is confident going into their Super-12 match in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia.

The Proteas’ final warm-up game against Bangladesh was postponed due to rain, so the Proteas were unable to participate.

Rossouw stated that the team is very confident going into the T20 World Cup in his remarks prior to their first game.

“The team is extremely confident. We’ve played a lot of cricket over the last few weeks and months, particularly with all of the franchise cricket that’s been going on. “But the boys are ready for the first game,” Rilee Rossouw said.

The South African batter expressed satisfaction with his performance and said he was glad to score some runs ahead of the T20 World Cup.

“Being able to run up some runs and spend some time in the middle was beneficial to me. That will appeal to any batter, especially before a significant competition. Just before the World Cup, it’s nice to keep up my form and know that I’m hitting the ball well, “Rilee Rossouw added.

In response to the postponed warm-up game against Bangladesh, Rilee Rossouw stated that the players are disappointed but prepared for the Super-12 stage.

“While some of the guys may be [disappointed], others are prepared to leave. The rain is unfortunately out of our control, but the guys put in a good shift during indoor training, “Rossouw said.

India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh were placed in Group 2 of the Super-12 stage with South Africa. On October 24, they will face off against a team from the T20 World Cup’s first round of qualifiers in their inaugural game. Then, on October 27, they’ll square off against Bangladesh.
