IND vs NED: "I’m Really Enjoying Batting With Virat Kohli": Suryakumar Yadav

The Indian cricket team’s batting has taken on a new dimension with the addition of Suryakumar Yadav. In his early years of international cricket, the talented top-order batsman has been fairly outstanding, displaying his wide variety of strokes and leading the Indian team to multiple victories with his all-around ability.

Suryakumar claims that he enjoys batting alongside Virat Kohli and that their partnership simply works.

After setting a 180-run goal for the Netherlands, Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave India an early breakthrough. In an earlier Group 2 Super 12 encounter of the 2017 T20 World Cup on Thursday at Sydney Cricket Ground, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Suryakumar Yadav led India to 179/2 in 20 overs against the Netherlands.

India lost KL Rahul in the third over of the innings, but after that, Rohit, Virat, and Suryakumar played significant innings to help India surpass the 175-run threshold. At the Sydney Cricket Ground on Thursday, during a Super 12 Group 2 encounter of the 2017 T20 World Cup, India chose to bat first against the Netherlands.

The starting lineup for Team India remained the same as it did in their previous game against Pakistan.

“Virat has been batting amazingly”: Suryakumar Yadav

In just 48 balls, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav put together an unbroken third-wicket stand of 95 runs, scoring fifty each. In this event, this was Kohli’s second straight half-century.

He finished the game undefeated on 62 off 44 balls. Suryakumar, who had already reached his own half-century, ended the innings with a six off the final delivery. He had a perfect 51 off of 25.

” I’ve enjoyed batting here, enjoyed that partnership. When I went inside, Virat Bhai just said keep batting the way you have been batting, so I just expressed myself. Good to see everyone come here and support us, my wife is also around so that’s a great support as well,” Suryakumar Yadav said.

“The wicket is a bit two-paced, but it is a good score to defend. (On Virat Kohli) He has been batting amazingly, he has just stuck to his routines and processes. I’m really enjoying batting with him,” Suryakumar Yadav added.

Both Kohli and SKY reached their fifties and were unbeaten right up to the very finish as they combined for 95 runs in just 8 overs.
