India Tour Of Bangladesh 2022: Schedule, Squads, Venues, Live Streaming Details
Updated - 03 Dec 2022, 10:54 AM
After the T20 World Cup, Team India will be on the road yet again for back-to-back bilateral series against New Zealand and Bangladesh. India will be taking on the Kiwis in a three-match T20I series followed by a three-match ODI series between November 18 to 30.
India will then travel to Bangladesh for a three-match ODI series followed by a two-match Test series. The three ODIs will be played on December 4, 7, and 10. All the matches will be played in Mirpur. The series then moves on to the Test series with the first test in Chattogram between December 14-18. Both teams return to Mirpur again for the last and final Test between December 22-26.
The two teams have an old rivalry that has intensified since the 2016 T20 World Cup. India defeated the Bangla Tigers in the 2015 ODI World Cup followed by the 2016 T20 World Cup. They recently played each other in the Asia Cup where the Men in Blue yet again defeated the Tigers. Bangladesh lost to India once again recently in the Super 12s of the T20 World Cup 2022 in Adelaide.
India and Bangladesh have played against each other in 11 Tests, 36 ODIs, and 11 T20Is. The Tigers have never beaten India in a Test match. In ODIs, India have won 30 matches while the Tigers have just five games. One of those wins was in the 2007 ODI World Cup which back then was a big upset.
In 11 T20Is, Bangladesh have just won one game which was back in their 2019 tour to India in the first T20I in Delhi. Thus India have dominated Bangladesh well and truly across formats and the trend is expected to continue in the upcoming series.
India and Bangladesh last faced each other in a bilateral series in 2019. During the series, India and Bangladesh played three T20Is and two Tests. Indi won the T20I series 2-1 and the Test series 2-0. Below is the complete schedule of India’s upcoming tour to Bangladesh.
