Fans on Twitter reacted after Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) thrashed Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. They defeated the KL Rahul-led side by 10 wickets at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday (8th May). 

Lucknow Super Giants opted to bat first and they didn’t have a great start. Quinton de Kock (2) who was making a comeback, perished for just two runs. Things got worse for them when in-form batter Marcus Stoinis (3) got out as well and Bhuvneshwar Kumar oozed his class with the bat.

Skipper KL Rahul (29) and Krunal Pandya (24) played vital hands for the team at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. They brought their team back in the game with a 36-run partnership before Rahul got out and the all-rounder got run out. 

Lucknow Super Giants were left tottering at 66 for four and it was then when Nicholas Pooran (48*) and Ayush Badoni (55*) joined hands and brought their team back into the game. The duo took the attack to the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers and made sure they got some quick runs. 

The Pooran-Badoni duo added 99 runs and made sure that they took their team to the competitive total. Based on their terrific performance with the bat, Lucknow Super Giants posted a total of 165 runs. For SRH, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of two for 12.

In the chase, Sunrisers Hyderabad openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head came out all guns blazing. They wreaked havoc across the Lucknow Super Giants bowlers and blew away the opposition with their brutal batting display. 

They chased the 165 runs in just 10 overs and with 10 wickets in hand. While Head remained unbeaten on 89, Sharma scored 75* runs as Sunrisers Hyderabad won their 7th game of the season.
