IND vs PAK: Would Love To See Virat Kohli Playing T10 Format - Robin Uthappa

Former Indian player Robin Uthappa has said that he would love to see Virat Kohli playing T10 format. Uthappa also feels that it will help Virat Kohli to discover different aspects of his own game.

T10 format witnesses cricket matches of just 10 overs. It is becoming an emerging format for franchise leagues. Abu Dhabi T10 League is a good example of a T10 tournament. Recently, US Masters T10 League 2023 witnessed a tournament between former players.

Would Love To See Virat Kohli Playing T10 Format: Robin Uthappa

Robin Uthappa was also part of the recent US Masters T10 League 2023. On the sidelines of the tournament, Uthappa spoke to the press. During the chat, the former wicketkeeper-batsman said that he would love to see Virat Kohli playing T10 format.

“I certainly would love to see the Virat Kohli’s of the world playing this version of the game. Because I think it would add so much more value. I think he’s probably one of the greatest ODI players we’ve ever seen in our lives. And I think that he would discover different aspects of his own game when he plays this version of the game,” Uthappa told ANI News.

Talking about T10 leagues, Uthappa said that it opens a different aspect of cricket. He also hopes that T10 format will be introduced in India and current players will get a chance to play this format.

“I think T10 is here to stay. I think it opens up a different aspect of cricket that would add a lot of value to T20 cricket. So, I do hope that at some point, it gets introduced in India and the current cricketers can play this format of the game,” Robin Uthappa further said.

Meanwhile, US Masters T10 League 2023 witnessed Texas Charges clinching the trophy. They defeated New York Warriors in the final. The league saw the participation of many former players.

There were 6 teams in the tournament. Robin Uthappa was the captain of Atlanta Riders team. His team finished in the 5th spot in the points table and could not qualify for playoffs.
