Former Australia player, Brad Hogg opened up on Virat Kohli and said that the 34-year-old Indian player will be in lethal form in the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 and ODI World Cup. Hogg said that Kohli is a big danger for the opposition teams.

Virat Kohli is currently in his top form and displayed a stunning performance in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he scored 639 runs from 14 matches with a strike rate of 139.82.

Every Indian cricket fan will be hoping for a good show from the star batsman which will help the Men in Blues to win the Asia Cup 2023 and ODI World Cup.

India skipper, Rohit Sharma will be under a lot of pressure ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023 since the Men in Blues have failed to win a single ICC trophy in the past 10 years. The 36-year-old skipper expects a lot from Virat Kohli in the upcoming tournaments, which will help them to win trophies.

I think we’re gonna see a brilliant Virat Kohli: Brad Hogg

While speaking to Revsportz, the former Aussie player talked about when Virat Kohli played a stunning shot over Haris Rauf and considered it the best shot someone has ever played.

The 52-year-old added that Indian cricket fans have to realize that Virat Kohli is under a lot of pressure currently and stated that the former India skipper will have ups and downs in the upcoming days.

Brad Hogg further added that when the 34-year-old finds his right space of mind, he will display a lethal performance for the Men in Blues and the opponents should be worried about it.

“Hitting Haris Rauf back over his head off a good length, that was the best shot that I have ever seen in cricket. It was brilliant. Yeah, he was just awesome. He was switched on. But I think fans out there have got to realize too that there’s a lot of pressure on Virat Kohli. He’s going to have those ups and downs When he’s got that right frame of mind, he’s had the pressure off him, he’s been able to relax and come back, you see the dominant Virat Kohli, and I think we’re gonna see a brilliant Virat Kohli on home soil in a World Cup. He wants it, and that’s a big danger for opposition teams,” Brad Hogg said.

Rohit Sharma-led India will start their Asia Cup 2023 journey against Babar Azam’s Pakistan on Saturday (September 2nd) at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka.
