PSL 2023: “Lots Of Respect From Both Sides” – Simon Doull Opens Up On His One-on-one Conversation With ‘Unwell’ Babar Azam

New Zealand’s reputed commentator Simon Doull had made a statement that Peshawar Zalmi skipper Babar Azam should not play for milestones. Babar Azam had struck a century against Quetta Gladiators in the 8th match. Babar Azam scored 115 runs in 65 balls where he struck 15 fours & 3 sixes but couldn’t accelerate at the back end of the innings where the pitch was a flat one.

Peshawar Zalmi lost the match despite scoring 240 runs as Jason Roy smashed a blistering knock of 145 runs in 63 balls where he struck 20 fours & 5 sixes. Simon Doull received a lot of flak from Pakistani fans where he received quite a few abuses on social media.

“I don’t need to say what was said but it was good. Lots of respect from both sides and it was really good. He [Babar] wasn’t feeling at his best.” said Simon Doull.

Fascinating PSL 2023 on Cards

We are reaching the stage of play-offs where we have witnessed high-scoring thrillers where the teams have scored in excess of 220 which is massive. Lahore Qalandars have got a dangerous team where they have got a lot of match winners present in the team. It won’t be wrong to say that the Shaheen Afridi, led side can defend their PSL title.
