Mumbai Indians (MI) head coach Mark Boucher looked in a furious mood during the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The 60th game of the tournament is underway at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Mark Boucher looked furious over the confusion that made umpires question the Mumbai Indians. After Piyush Chawla went off the field after completing his overs, Rohit Sharma came out as a substitute fielder for the leg-spinner at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

However, after that Piyush Chawla returned and Rohit Sharma was still in the field. But this time he stayed in the field as a replacement for Nuwan Thushara, who went off the field after his overs. This created a lot of confusion in the umpires as they questioned Mumbai Indians.

The umpires were confused as they were not sure if Mumbai Indians used Rohit Sharma as an impact player or substitute fielder. Mark Boucher wasn't impressed by it as he was seen having an animated chat with the umpire at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Rinku Singh (20) and Ramandeep Singh (17*) in the end made sure that they finished the innings on high. Based on the collective effort, Kolkata Knight Riders posted a total of 157 runs on the board at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan take Mumbai Indians off to a flying start

Chasing the target, Mumbai Indians openers Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma made sure that they gave their team a flying start. While the senior batter has been watchful, Kishan on the other hand came out all guns blazing and played some crisp shots.

The duo added 62 runs inside 6 overs and made sure that they kept the run rate in check. However, after the valiant start, Ishan Kishan perished to Sunil Narine. The Opening batter scored 40 runs as Mumbai Indians lost their first wicket at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. With the kind of start they have got, Mumbai Indians look favorites to win the game. They have already been knocked out of the tournament.
