In what has been the latest development as per the reports in Cricbuzz, it is learned that Prithvi Shaw has been ruled out of cricketing action for at least two months due to a knee injury. The batter injured himself while playing for Northamptonshire County Cricket Club in England.

Prithvi Shaw injured his knee in the game against Durham and was ruled out of the tournament as his injury was much worse than expected. With him reportedly being ruled out for two months means that he will be missing Syed Mushtaq Ali (October 16 to November 23) and Vijay Hazare (November 23 to December 15) in India.

Prithvi Shaw will, however, be recovering in time for the Ranji Trophy, slated to begin on 5th January. A Mumbai Cricket Association official confirmed the development and explained:

“After discussing with him, it’s evident that he will require around three months for a complete recovery. This indicates his potential readiness by December and aligns with the Ranji Trophy’s commencement in January.”

The injury will be a huge setback for Prithvi Shaw as he was having a great run in the Royal One Day Cup in England. He had some tough months due to his off-field antics and even failed in IPL. He now will have to wait for two-three months to return to action.

Prithvi Shaw was in a red hot form in the Royal One Day Cup as he was leading run-getters in the competition with 429 runs to his name at a sensational average of 143. He also had smashed one double century as well as a century in the four games.

Prithvi Shaw has been in the headlines for his off-the-field antics. He recently had a fight with social media influencer Sapna Gill and his case was dragged even into court.
