Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) squared off with each other in the 44th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The match between the two titans of the league took place at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. 

Rajasthan Royals (RR) had the upper hand in the game over Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. They batted and bowled tremendously well and claimed their 8th win of the tournament to almost seal the playoff spot.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) were asked to bat first and it wasn't a great start for them with the bat. Quinton de Kock (8) and Marcus Stoinis perished early as the home team was left tottering at 11/2 at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. 

However, after that skipper KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda brought Lucknow Super Giants back in the game. The duo took attack to the Rajasthan Royals bowlers and made sure that get some quick runs for their team, with their 115-run partnership. 

While Deepak Hooda ended with an innings of 50 runs, KL Rahul continued till the 17th over. The batter scored 76 runs and made sure that Lucknow Super Giants went past the 150-run mark with ease at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. 

After he got out, Ayush Badoni (18*) and Krunal Pandya (15*) played a vital innings and made sure that Lucknow Super Giants ended with a total close to 200. Based on the collective effort with the bat the home team posted a total of 196/5. 

For Rajasthan Royals, Sandeep Sharma was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 2/31. Apart from Trent Boult, Avesh Khan and Ravichandran Ashwin picked on wicket each with the ball as they restricted the opposition to under 200, which has been a norm this season.

LSG vs RR IPL 2024 Match 44- Rajasthan Royals innings: Skipper Sanju Samson leads from the front, Dhruv Jurel slams vital fifty 

Rajasthan Royals were off to a decent start with the bat. Yashasvi Jaiswal (24) and Jos Buttler (34) batted well at the top and laid the platform with the bat. They added 60 runs for the opening partnership but lost their wickets immediately after that. 

Riyan Parag too fell early but after that, Sanju Samson (71*) and Dhruv Jurel (52*) batted incredibly well and put pressure on the opposition. The duo added unbeaten 121 runs together and took the team home with 7 wickets in hand and one over to spare.
