IND vs AUS: Danish Kaneria Suggests Changes To India's Batting Order For The Second T20I Against Australia

Former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria has questioned India’s batting order, claiming that Virat Kohli should open in the upcoming T20 matches.
Kaneria believes Rohit Sharma or KL Rahul should bat at No. 3.
In the opening T20I against Australia, Team India did score a substantial total of 208 runs. Even with a such score, they were unable to defeat the Australians in Mohali. Even though up to three Indian batters have produced impressive totals with the bat, the team’s batting lineup has come under fire.
Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, is one of the hitters who has come under scrutiny after a streak of subpar performances. Former Pakistani spinner Danish Kaneria has also said that Rohit might bat at No. 3 in upcoming games.
Rohit Sharma is not scoring runs while opening: Danish Kaneria
Kaneria indicated Rahul might fill the one-down place and Virat Kohli could open with the India skipper if Rohit did not want to drop down in the batting order.
“While opening, Rohit Sharma is not scoring runs. This was evident during the Asia Cup. He is scoring in spurts. Virat Kohli is also unable to score consistently at one down. Perhaps you have a good opportunity To bring Rohit one down, and Virat can open with KL Rahul.”
“Alternatively, if Rohit is comfortable opening, you can begin with Virat and him. In that instance, KL Rahul l can be used as one down. It will not be such a big deal,”Danish Kaneria stated in a video posted on his YouTube channel.
Even Kohli struggled in the first T20I matchup with Australia. It is significant to note that his century against Afghanistan came as the game’s first run. As a result, some former cricketers still question whether Kohli should start in the shortest format.
Rahul, on the other hand, usually bats as the opener for India but has also occasionally batted in the middle of the order. At least until the T20 World Cup 2022, neither Rahul nor Rohit are likely to switch positions in the batting order.
