India’s stunning victory against Australia in the 2nd T20I match has now levelled the series by 1-1. The Men in Blue would be aware that the toss played a massive role in the match as the contest was of 8 overs per side. Australia on the other side would be concerned after seeing the form of Glenn Maxwell as the management expects a sturdy cameo from him.

Indian Cricket Team took a bold decision by leaving out Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the 2nd T20I match and in his place, Rishabh Pant came into the side to strengthen the batting. This decision may be taken to give him a break as he has been a regular member of the side. The match was of only 8 overs where the batters were seen slogging only which may be the reason why he didn’t play.

The two-time World Cup (1 T20) Winning Member of Team India was asked about Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Everyone is talking about Bhuvi. Let him be ‘yaar’. He is one of the best that Indian cricket has ever seen. Look at his records, from his maiden international match against Pakistan to even now, he has been doing very well. Every cricketer has lows and highs in their career. Let’s support and don’t put too much pressure on him. He is not going anywhere and will prove himself again,” Sreesanth told to IANS.

I have known Bhuvi since U-17 days. He is just going to get better from what he is going through now. Don’t write him off, don’t worry about the 19th over, he will do well in upcoming matches.” he added.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s Form a Concern

There’s no doubt that Bhuvneshwar is one of the best in the power-play overs. The bowler is often known to be as the ‘King of Swing’ where he bamboozles the opponent quite easily. Skipper Rohit Sharma would be worried as Bhuvneshwar Kumar is key to the Indian pace attack as he can easily attract swing from any pitch.

Harshal Patel’s performance is by nowhere great as in his 2 overs he had conceded 32 runs with no wickets. The pacer needs to work on his short ball as the batters are comfortable whacking him all around the park. Harshal so far has been ineffective as his variations don’t seem that powerful.
