Rahul Tripathi, an Indian batsman, has not received many opportunities to play for the senior India side despite his IPL and domestic cricket performances.
Tripathi is still hopeful of receiving possibilities shortly despite the continuous setbacks.

Indian cricket has an arguably unmatched skill pool. New players are constantly knocking on the doors of the selectors for consideration, whether it is in the T20 format, ODIs, or Tests. The situation involving Tripathi was identical. The top-order hitter has not had many chances lately, but he is still an important player.

Tripathi was selected for the Indian team’s tour of Zimbabwe and Ireland. Tripathi was able to secure one or two opportunities during the practice matches in England, but even though the assignment lacked the majority of the more experienced players, Tripathi is yet to appear for India.
I think my opportunity will definitely come: Rahul Tripathi
Tripathi was questioned in an interview with Sportskeeda if it was a “reality check” for him. His response was extremely motivating.
“No, it’s not like that. I am happy that at least I have come into the scheme of things. And obviously, some players have been performing consistently.”

“But I think my opportunity will definitely come, and my job is to keep performing in whatever opportunities I get. Definitely, when you get selected, you aim and dream to play for India, and hopefully, it’ll happen soon,” Rahul said.
“So close, yet so far” has always been Rahul Tripathi’s mantra. Being Rahul Tripathi may be challenging at times. He was recently selected in both the T20I and ODI squads, despite being ignored by the national selectors for nearly a year.
