Dinesh Karthik, the veteran made an astounding comeback and booked a place for himself in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. A year before he was seen doing commentary and now he has taken the World Cricket Storm. The batter has shown that he still has the vigour & passion to succeed in International Cricket.

Dinesh Karthik was a part of RCB in the 2022 edition and according to him, that played a crucial part. The batter played the role of the finisher and accumulated 284 runs in 14 innings. It looked as if Dinesh Karthik was rejuvenated from the break as the batter hadn’t played for India since the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup Semi-Final.

Dinesh Karthik’s an Uncertainty

The 37-year-old batter had an unlikely Asia Cup 2022 where he was benched in the Super 4 stage. It would be fascinating to see whether he gets a chance in the upcoming T20I Series against Australia. The likes of Rishabh Pant hasn’t been able to live up to his tag. The management needs to sort out this conundrum as benching Karthik won’t be a good choice if he is in the reckoning.

Dinesh Karthik is someone who can’t play in the middle overs; the batter is a proper finisher who can play cameos of 35-40 runs in a short span of time.

Head Coach Rahul Dravid & Skipper Rohit Sharma will have to be absolutely clear as chopping & changing won’t work now as T20 World Cup is around the corner. The management needs to show faith in Dinesh Karthik as who knows he may be brutal in the middle overs phase.
