Australian Team white-ball captain Aaron Finch has expressed his desire to see more Pakistani players in the Big Bash League.

This comes after Australia suffered a series defeat against Pakistan, losing the 3 match series 2-1.

Finch himself didn’t have a great series with the bat but the likes of Travis Head and Ben McDermott grab their opportunities as they scored valuable runs for the team throughout the series.

We Would Love To Have Babar Azam In The Big Bash League: Aaron Finch

Haris Rauf is already a big part of the BBL, but Finch wants more Pakistani players to play in the BBL. He jokingly said that he offered Babar Azam to play for the Melbourne Renegades, a side that Finch used to lead in the BBL.

“It would be great to have more world-class players in our domestic competition,” said Finch on a more serious note. If Babar Azam is available to play Big Bash, any team would love to have him,” emphasized Finch, after Babar was declared the Player of the series. Babar scored 2 consecutive centuries in the 2nd and 3rd ODI to give Pakistan the series win.

Finch further added that Australia loves to have Pakistan guys, as part of their competition.

“Any opportunity that they can fit into our competition is fantastic and they’ll always be welcome in the Big Bash,” added Finch.

Finch also said that it’s good for world cricket when Pakistan does well. “The talent of Pakistan cricket is extraordinary. I think world cricket is better when Pakistan is playing well and world cricket is better when they have the opportunity to play in our domestic league,” added Finch.

The likes of Imm-Ul-Haq, Shaheen Afridi had a great series against Australia. Haq scored 2 consecutive 100s himself to go with his 50 in the 3rd ODI. Shaheen figures might not show how well he bowled on the flat decks in Lahore but he was excewptional throughtout the series.

Finch also hinted that he would love to come and play in the Pakistan Super league if the schedule allows.
