Biratnagar Kings Cricket Team 2024

Biratnagar Kings are a professional franchise T20 team based in Biratnagar, Nepal and participate in the Nepal Premier League. They are one of the eight teams that will be featuring in the first edition of the tournament in 2024.

They were bought by MAD Dream Sports for NPR 1.51 crore. Biratnagar Kings will be led by Sandeep Lamichhane who is also the marquee player of the team. Lamichhane is arguably the most popular cricketer from Nepal and has played in some of the leading T20 leagues around the world including the Indian Premier League.

So far, Lamichhane has played 150 T20s and picked up an impressive 216 wickets while maintaining an economy-rate of less than 7. Former New Zealand opener Martin Guptill is also a part of the Biratnagar-based outfit. The head coach of the team is former Ireland cricketer Kevin O'Brien.

The first edition of the Nepal Premier League is scheduled to be played from November 30 to December 21. Biratnagar Kings will be in action on the very first day of the competition. They will be taking on Janakpur Bolts in the first-ever game of the Nepal Premier League.
