The 32-year-old star India National Cricket Team middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav continued his dominance in the ICC Men’s T20I Batting Rankings and achieved career-high rating points in the latest rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday (February 1).

The No.1 ranked T20I batter in the world touched the career-best rating of 910 after his good 47 runs knock in the Ranchi T20I against New Zealand, which India lost.

However, in the second T20I in Lucknow, the batter played a more composed knock of unbeaten 26 runs on the difficult batting track to guide India to a victory and it led to Suryakumar Yadav being dropped back to a total of 908 rating points.

The 32-year-old Suryakumar Yadav will be looking to improve on his records in the series decider third T20I against New Zealand, which will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday.

Also, Suryakumar Yadav, who recently won the ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year 2022 award, is within striking distance of England National Cricket Team batter Dawid Malan in the race to hold the highest rating of all time for Men’s T20I batters. Notably, the Englishman achieved a career-best rating of 915 points in Cape Town back in 2020.

New Zealand Players Make Big Gains In Latest ICC T20I Rankings

A few New Zealand National Cricket Team players have made big gains in the latest ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings, including Finn Allen, Daryl Mitchell and Mitchell Santner.

The 23-year-old explosive opener Finn Allen has jumped eight places to 19th on the list for batters and Daryl Mitchell has jumped nine spots to 29th overall.

Also, the premier all-rounder Mitchell Santner, who is leading the Kiwis in the ongoing three-match T20I series against the Men In Blue, has jumped two places to 9th overall in the rankings for bowlers and has also moved to 23rd in the rankings for all-rounders.

Talking about the ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings, England National Cricket Team pacer Jofra Archer, who recently made a comeback to top-level cricket after a lengthy absence, has re-entered the ICC Men’s ODI Bowling Rankings at 35.

Also, South Africa National Cricket Team captain Temba Bavuma has improved a huge 27 spots to 49th overall in the rankings for batters and Rassie van der Dussen has inched closer to Pakistan National Cricket Team skipper Babar Azam at the top of the rankings. His rating has improved from 766 to 795.
