The Indian team, previously never had a solid fast bowling attack. The Men in Blue relied on their batsmen and spin bowlers to win the games. The few fast bowlers that India had could click 130-140 KMPH on the speedometer. They found it hard to match the speeds of the overseas pacers to see an Indian pacer click 150 KMPH was very rare.

However, nowadays, India has over ten fast bowlers who can consistently touch that landmark on the speedometer. Many of them have represented the nation at the global level, but let’s take a look at Indian fast bowlers who can clock 150 KMPH regularly but are not included in the national team.

Heralded for his pace, Varun Aaron last played for India in 2015. Although he is not worried about the cut-throat competition and is hopeful of his India comeback, Aaron revealed he is competing with himself only and believes he can play for any team at his best.

The Indian cricket team currently has a plethora of options in the fast bowling department and has serious competition. So, making a comeback for Aaron after suffering many injuries won’t be easy. However, the Jharkhand-born cricketer is optimistic about his chances.

The experienced fast bowler was bought by the champions Gujarat Titans at the IPL 2022 mega auction and he played two matches for them during the season.

Navdeep Saini is another name who has clocked 150+Km/Hr and made his India debut in limited-overs cricket in 2019 after a successful IPL picking up 11 wickets in 13. In 2021, he played his only Test series against Australia and has played two Test matches so far.

In July 2021, Saini last appeared in the Indian shirt across the ODI and T20I formats. In eight matches, Saini has scalped six wickets and scored 107 runs at a terrific average of 53.50. He has 13 wickets in 11 T20I matches and has done fairly well. In the IPL 2022 season, Saini featured in only two matches scalping three wickets.

Of late, the speedster has sustained a right groin injury during the Duleep Trophy semi-final match between North Zone and South Zone and is thus out of national team contention.
