4,4,4,4,4! Virat Kohli smashes five fours against Kagiso Rabada in GT vs RCB clash

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have been dominating in this season of the competition, and one of the major reasons for their success has been their explosive batting order. Once again, the legendary Virat Kohli has led the batting order from the front.

Having already played their first game against the Gujarat Titans this season, the defending champions already have the upper hand, having defeated them the last time they met this season at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. However, the idea seemed evident that Kohli is not willing to let this opportunity slip away.

Virat Kohli's threatens Prabhsimran Singh's record with flurry of boundaries off Kagiso Rabada

Virat Kohli has announced his form since the last game and has once again looked in superb touch against the Gujarat Titans as he smashed veteran pacer Kagiso Rabada for five consecutive boundaries in his very first over.

Bowling the second over in the powerplay, Rabada did offer a bit of width outside the stumps, and the 9000-run veteran was not in the kind of form to miss out on those freebies. He thumped Rabada to different areas of the ground and smashed him for five fours, taking 21 runs off his first over.

In this very season, when PBKS opener Prabhsimran Singh chased the massive 265-run target for his team, he smashed Mukesh Kumar for a 24-run over, scoring a boundary off every ball of his final over of the powerplay.

Kagiso Rabada strikes on his comeback over; dismisses Kohli's after a staggering start

Some amazing captaincy from Shubman Gill as he backed his most experienced pacer Kagiso Rabada for a second over in a row after not being taken for 21 runs off his first over. Having scored that many runs, Rabada, too, did not seem much intimidated.

He backed himself with a new plan in the second over, and the ball sharply shaped towards his body. After having missed one ball, he surprised Kohli with a very well-directed bouncer that also caught him with pace.

Kohli, looking to continue the onslaught, edged it, and the ball went up enough for Rashid Khan to safely settle under it and complete his second catch of the match. Rabada struck, and the prized wicket of Kohli was down within the powerplay.

Rabada's excellent number against the RCB veteran in T20s

Kagiso Rabada is one of the most legendary pacers of the modern generation and has been backed against the greatest of batters. He has also not failed at troubling the Indian legend Virat Kohli.

In T20s, Rabada has a stunning record against Virat Kohli, having bowled to him on several occasions before in the IPL as well as while playing for the South Africans. Having bowled 79 balls at him, Kohli has taken him for runs, striking at 140.

However, Rabada has also dismissed him five times in the shortest format of the game and has not let the great batter's average go past 22 against him.
