England batter Jordan Cox has set new standards for The Hundred, as he smashes the ball to all corners of the park to take the Oval Invincibles to the highest score of 226 in the competition. The batter blew the Welsh bowling off guard with 4 sixes off a single set from the Hundred debutant.
The Hundred is slowly getting its new status as a world-class tournament, as it has been hosting thrilling matches with an insane array of shots. After Harry Brook was in the buzz over his first ball scoop, another Englishman, Jordan Cox, has now taken the internet by storm with some spectacular shots at The Oval.
In the match between the Oval Invincibles and the Welsh Fire, the record books were rewritten by the Invincibles batter as they put on a stunning show, with Cox being the showman with his blistering 89* runs.

Jordan Cox looked in some sort of heavenly touch as he batted at The Oval. The batter, who has not been named in England's white-ball squads for any of the upcoming white-ball series against either South Africa or Ireland, scored a blistering 89*.
However, more than runs, he has earned some fame as an entertainer; he has been a staunch six-hitter in the brief 29-ball inning. The carnage started against Ajit Singh Dale, a debutant pacer whom Cox hit for 3 massive sixes in a row.
He missed the fourth ball but invented something new in the final ball of the set, as he launched the last ball for another six with a reverse scoop played over the third man's head. This made 4 sixes off a single set.
He further launched Paul Walter for three consecutive sixes as well, later in the game after being dropped by a nervous Ajit Singh Dale at short third.

A brief trivia of the Oval Invincibles innings from The Oval
Asked to bat first in front of the home crowd, the Oval Invincibles' innings sprang into life inside the first 10 balls, with Will Jacks hitting Matt Henry for back-to-back boundaries. Zimbabwean cricketer Tawanda Muyeye joined him as the two openers attacked and unsettled the opposition bowlers.
At the end of the 25-ball power play, the home side was racing with 54 runs on the board without the loss of a wicket. The breakthrough, though, seemed fortunate for the bowler Saif Zaib; he drew the first blood for Welsh Fire. Will Jacks also fell to Henry's second spell as the Invincibles were reduced to 89/2.
It was time for Jordan Cox to enter the crease alongside Sam Curran, as skipper Sam Billings kept demoting him down the order to let his batters with long levers come out and score as many runs as possible after the fine start they had gotten.
Jordan Cox deposited Ajit Singh Dale, the Hundred debutant, for three consecutive sixes over the leg-side boundary and then sent his final ball of the set over the ropes again with an incredible as well as audacious reverse scoop shot.
Sam Curran joined the party as he hit Green for back-to-back sixes. After Curran's dismissal and a Donovan Ferreira cameo, Cox finished the innings with 14 runs off the last 3 balls.
