Aakash Chopra Lauds Jasprit Bumrah For Joe Root’s Wicket
Aakash Chopra lauded Jasprit Bumrah on his YouTube channel. The former India opener praised Bumrah for his gameplan to jolt Joe Root. He also added the setup to dismiss him was extremely good.
“He picked up two wickets. Ben Duckett was ultimately bowled with an incoming ball. He would have got him lbw had the DRS been used earlier. Joe Root’s wicket – the setup was extremely good. He kept taking the ball away and then brought the ball in and hit his pads,” Aakash Chopra said.
Aakash Chopra, who represented Team India in 2003-04, also feels that India would’ve not made a comeback in the 2nd session with Jasprit Bumrah’s outstanding spell. He also added that the Indian pacer was absolute gold dust.
“If India had not won the second session, this match would have been placed differently. We are talking about spin but Jasprit Bumrah came. He showed his class. He was absolutely brilliant. He was absolute gold dust,” the 45-year-old said.
