Team India's much-awaited campaign in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 will get underway on Wednesday (September 10). The defending champions will kickstart their title defence by locking horns against the UAE in Dubai.
Ahead of the game, India opener Abhishek Sharma was at his brutal best while batting in the nets.

The southpaw reportedly hit more than a couple of dozen sixes in nets as he prepared for his first Asia Cup campaign. It was an optional training session, but Abhishek Sharma decided to fine-tune his preparations for the tournament.
The Punjab star relied on his hand-eye coordination to take the net bowlers to the cleaners. According to a report in PTI, the Indian opener hit a staggering 25 to 30 sixes during the session to warm up for the Asia Cup in style.
Abhishek will look to hit the ground running in his first-ever Asia Cup. The youngster has become an indispensable part of India's T20I setup and will be eyeing a good show with the bat.

Abhishek Sharma and co. get the captain's backing:
Abhishek Sharma and other Indian batsmen who rely on their aggressive approach with the bat have received the full backing of their captain, Suryakumar Yadav, ahead of the Asia Cup opener. Interacting with the media, Suryakumar insisted that he would not curb the aggression in his players and will look to take the field 'on the front foot'.
"Temper? Sir, aggression is always there on the field when we take the field. Without aggression, I do not believe one can play this sport. And I am sure, I am very excited to take the field on the front foot," said Suryakumar Yadav.
Suryakumar Yadav decides to stay humble
While India are the firm favourites to win the Asia Cup once again, Suryakumar had a different take on the 'favourites' tag.
"Who said that? (favourites) I have not heard it. You have played in this format, and you know how your preparations are. If your preparations are good, then you will be very confident when you take the field. We are playing Twenty20 as a team after a long time," he said.
