Australia‘s limited-overs leg-spinner Adam Zampa finally tied the knot to his long-time girlfriend Hattie Leigh Palmer. Adam Zampa’s wedding suffered postponement twice in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak since last year, with the virus still doing rounds in plenty of countries. Adam Zampa had to cancel his marriage for the first time last year in April when Australia, like many nations, began going into lockdown.

Adam Zampa’s attempt to have his wedding could not be successful early this year either as he even missed a few matches of IPL 2021 to get married. Notably, not only the New South Wales lad, but many other cricketers have been forced to delay their weddings. But the pandemic has come under control to a great extent, with many countries lifting lockdowns as well as a mandate on wearing masks.

Nevertheless, Adam Zampa did not reveal anything about the new innings of his life in his social media accounts. Kate Willa, the company that designed the costume for the wedding, shared the picture of the couple to reveal that the leggie got hitched last week.

On the cricketing side of things, Adam Zampa will be on the plane with the Australian team to play the West Indies, where the two sides will lock horns in five T20Is and three ODIs. The 29-year old was one of the cricketers to pull of IPL 2021 and return home before the tournament was postponed due to the COVID-19 breaching the bubble.

The New South Wales-born cricketer remains an automatic choice for Australia in white-ball cricket as he has delivered promising performances since his international debut in 2016. The wrist-spinner has 92 wickets in 61 One-day internationals at 32.65, while 43 scalps in 41 T20Is at 22.67. Zampa is ranked number seven in the T20I bowling rankings.

Australia’s tour to the West Indies starts on the 9th of July, with all the T20Is to be hosted by the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, while the Kensington Oval in Barbados will stage the ODIs from the 20th.
